My pics of the week: e-sessions that rock

As I mentioned before, Pinterest is one rad tool  for curating and sharing all the pretty things you find online!

I decided to look up some of the photographers I love working with and see what they have been up to recently. Here's a peek of some photos I added to my "E-sessions that rock" board.

P.S. Feel free to add me on Pinterest!

A Carmel Engagement

Camille + Andy frolicking on a beach at Carmel-by-the-Sea

Happy New Year! We spent New Year's at Carmel-by-the-Sea and as you probably know, NYE is one of the most popular times for couples to get engaged and Carmel is among the most romantic towns in the US. Carmel's intimate maze of cobblestone alleys, plethora of European boutiques and bistros coupled with the sound of waves crashing on the Pacific Coast less than a mile away make you forget you're in California.

So it's fitting my first post of 2011 features the engagement session of Andy + Camille, shot on location at Carmel and just published on Lawrence Ha's site on New Year's Eve. [Andy and Camille were married last May at the Silver Creek Country Club; see also the post regarding the elegant details of Andy and Camille's beautiful wedding, coordinated by yours truly.]

I heart Anthropologie. Here's the outfit I'm wearing for our e-session tomorrow!

Such a Cheerful Engagement Video!

Congrats to Jane and Ted -- married on June 6! The video was shot by Kevin Chin Photography and Cinema in HD and really does a wonderful job of capturing Jane and Ted's energy and story. They shared the video at their wedding reception, which features a shout out to their family -- both in blood and spirit. I love the scene where they're writing on chalkboards and the interludes where they talk about what they love about each other. So cute!

I had the pleasure of working with green wedding planner, Corina Beczner, of Vibrant Events in producing this event. More photos to come -- the details were beautiful, promise!

Planning our E-session

With our wedding about 4 months away, you'd think we would have had our engagement pics done by now. Well, I got the dress in January (a darling black lace number with a yellow petticoat from Anthropologie) but we are postponing the session for two reasons:

1) We both want to lose 10-15 pounds.
2) We haven't decided what the theme should be!

There's way too much inspiration and we've tapped into some local talent (to be announced soon) on helping us style the e-session.

In the meantime, here are some of my faves:

and one of my all-time fave photographers, Feather Love (Noa). This is the first e-session (French New-Wave) I ever blogged about.
